Are you an experienced irrigation specialist with a passion for ecological landscaping? We’re looking for a full-time Irrigation Specialist to join our growing team! If you have a strong background in designing and installing backflows, and inground irrigation systems, we want to hear from you.
Ahimsa Gardens is an environmentally-friendly full-service landscaping company serving residential and commercial clients in Ashland and the Rogue Valley. We design climate-wise landscapes, utilizing many native plants to support native insect and bird species. We follow permaculture ethics, designing food forest gardens for clients interested in growing food. We design and install irrigation systems, fences, patios and pathways, and more. We help our clients find water-wise, fire-safe solutions for their landscaping needs while creating inspiring outdoor spaces for humans to gather, and native wildlife to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing new irrigation systems both in ground and drip.
Accurately recording time and materials used at jobsites.
Assessment and repair of existing sprinkler and drip systems.
Maintaining irrigation schedules and managing water output.
Strong understanding of in ground irrigation systems and general irrigation mechanics
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Work effectively with multiple teams and communicate clearly with clients
Ensure installations are completed on time and to spec
Ability to adapt to varying start and end times depending on the season
Qualifications:
2+ Years of experience in irrigation installation (more than drip irrigation)
Irrigation certifications is a plus but not required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and handle physical tasks
Strong attention to detail – this is a non-negotiable!
Previous experience in landscaping irrigation systems is a must
Must be flexible with working hours depending on season (start/end time varies with sunlight hours)
