Golf Course Maintenance Position - Stewart Meadows Golf Course (West Medford, OR)
Are you a hardworking, energetic individual who enjoys working outdoors? Stewart Meadows Golf Course seeks motivated team members to join our maintenance crew! Located in West Medford, our beautiful nine-hole course offers a serene environment surrounded by trees and well-maintained landscapes. We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions.
Position Summary:
As part of our team, you will be able to help with daily golf course and landscaping maintenance using various equipment. This role involves maintaining the overall appearance and health of the golf course and the surrounding company property to ensure both are in excellent condition. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and contributing to the upkeep of a well-maintained course and property.
Key Responsibilities:
Mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs using specialized golf course equipment
Raking, edging, and maintaining sand bunkers
Performing daily course setup (moving tee markers, changing pin locations)
Aerating, topdressing, and over-seeding turf areas
Operating small and large equipment for course maintenance (bunker machines, utility vehicles, string trimmers,
mowers, etc.)
Performing irrigation repair and installation as well as ongoing irrigation monitoring and adjustments
Assisting in the maintenance and repair of drainage systems
Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision
Performing landscaping duties such as trimming trees, removing debris, and maintaining landscape features
Maintaining surrounding company property, including landscaping, irrigation, and general upkeep
Basic maintenance of equipment and reporting any mechanical issues
Monitoring turf conditions and reporting any issues such as pests, diseases, or turf stress
Cleaning and maintaining course facilities such as cart paths, clubhouses, and restrooms
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods
Working early mornings and weekends, as required by course demands
Requirements:
Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail and a passion for keeping the course and property in top condition
No previous experience is required, but it is helpful – we provide training!
Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow all safety guidelines
