Job Summary We re seeking a caring, responsible, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) who will be involved in assisting with patient care for all ages in an ambulatory setting. The Medical Assistant will be an advocate for the patient s needs by collaborating with both the patient and their care team to ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout their healthcare journey at Sanford. Responsibilities- Collects subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicates data to healthcare provider
- Follows through on the patient s plan of care under the direction of the provider
- Communicates the provider s written instructions for care to the patient, or caregiver
- Participates in care for patients, across the lifespan, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of care settings
- Obtains vital signs, prepares patients for examinations, observes and reports patient s signs or symptoms, and performs point of care testing
