Network Technician (CCNA) configures network infrastructure equipment, services and solutions needed to support client networking systems and environments. They also perform day-to-day configuration, service, preventive maintenance, and decommission of dedicated and shared data infrastructure.

Position Details:
  • Short term contract; 3 month assignment
  • Hourly position based upon experience/skill level
  • Standard Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm (no OT or on call)
  • Location: Hillsboro, OR

Top Skills needed:
  • Valid CCNA Certification
  • Network configuration
  • programing switches and routers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network problems
  • Previous experience working in a data center with a very large Network
  • On-site support at client premises performing tasks such as hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, deployment, configuration, rebuild and decommissions.
  • Configure and test network assets (i.e. switches, routers, firewalls, network tools & testing devices).
  • Employ appropriate troubleshooting techniques for network performance issues and Ensure the data network and all related equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Periodically perform switch port optimization and survey work as needed.
  • Utilize network monitoring software tool during maintenance windows to ensure that all monitored network equipment is functioning in accordance with our clients' standards and SLAs, both before and after changes are made.
  • Follow well defined customer change control processes in executing network changes.
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE Cisco CCNA certification (Proof will be required)
  • Has experience with Computing Network support, troubleshooting and configuration, preferably with Cisco devices
  • Team player
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and put them on the ground. Very sensitive and flexible to customer needs, expectations and timelines
  • Ability to deliver solutions at times of pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Job will periodically require physical walking of expansive customer campus for troubleshooting of specific network devices.
