Are you a self-starter looking for an engineering opportunity within the semiconductor industry?Volt is now hiring an Engineering Technician 2 for a semiconductor client of ours.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.The Engineering Tech 2 will be responsible for:
- Support RF test engineering activities such as, test, verification of prototype RF test assemblies
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting and function of RF modules
- Perform operational test of Reliability parts to ensure quality utilizing automated test systems
- Assist in the construction, test and check-out of RF test solutions to include mechanical test socket maintenance and general RF troubleshooting.
- Use manufacturing, test, diagnostic equipment to maintain operational uptimes of test hardware
- Good hand-eye coordination, problem solving skills, communication, determination, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and being a team player required.
- RF knowledge / troubleshooting is a plus
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 1-2 years hands real world experience preferred but not required.
- Skilled at soldering including BGA and fine pitch SMD components is preferred
- Able to work overtime and nights schedule
- Contingent 12-month assignment
- Onsite position (nighttime hours/compressed schedule)
