Walsh Trucking Co. a family owned and operated business since 1959, and staple in the wood residuals and refuse industry is in need of a Trailer Welder/Fabricator in Eugene. This is a regular full time position.
Job Duties:
o Performing necessary maintenance and repair of trailer equipment requiring welding
o Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method
o Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions, Steel and Aluminum
o Proficent using GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, Plasma, and Carbon arc cutting
o Cleans, lays out, cuts and fits material for welding.
o Heavy trailer repair, Upper Couplers, King pins, sub frame, suspension components
o Follows Company/Manufacturer standards for repair
o Basic mechanical repairs related to welding repair tasks
o Sets up, maintains and makes minor repairs on welding equipment
o Uses safety gear as required
o Uses forklift, manlift, overhead crane to position and access work
A Successful Candidate will possess:
o 1-3 years industry experience or Welding School and Training
o High school diploma or GED
o Class 8 trailer experience will be held in high regard
