Position Overview:
We are looking for a well-rounded carpenter with strong skills in framing, drywall, painting, finish carpentry, and general residential construction. The ideal candidate can work independently, maintain a high standard of workmanship, and adapt to a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform residential carpentry, including framing and finish.
Hang and finish drywall
Paint and perform other surface finishing as needed
Build and repair decks, fences, and patio covers
Follow project plans and meet deadlines
Maintain a clean, organized worksite and follow all safety procedures
Communicate effectively with the owner, clients, and any subcontractors
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of carpentry and residential construction experience
Proficiency with power tools, measuring, cutting, and layout
Basic knowledge of other trades (painting, drywall, general remodeling)
Reliable transportation (truck preferred) and your own set of power tools
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Schedule & Pay:
Approximately 30-40 hours per week to start, with potential for more as business grows
Flexible schedule based on project needs
Competitive pay based on experience and capabilities
Higher pay scale available for candidates who can work independently with their own truck and tools
