We are looking for a full-time, experienced Accounting Associate to join our eight-person accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual looking to grow within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The Accounting Associate will play a key role in managing the daily financial functions for a multi-entity property portfolio and will be exposed to a variety of accounting processes and platforms.

There is potential for growth into leadership support roles for team members who demonstrate ownership, efficiency, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processing

Prepare and execute bill runs and owner distributions

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting

Support property onboarding/off-boarding accounting functions

Maintain accurate general ledger entries and assist in resolving discrepancies

Communicate professionally with internal teams

Support regulatory and compliance documentation as needed

Operate in a multi-entity, multi-database environment with attention to consistency and compliance

Qualifications Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a property management or multi-entity environment

Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook

Experience using PDF editing tools, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and database navigation

Ability to learn new software —experience with Appfolio or property management software is a plus

Technical Skills & Tools

Typing speed: 50–60+ WPM

10-key proficiency (by touch preferred)

Comfortable using: Dual-monitor setups & office hardware (scanners, copiers, postage machines)
