OEM manufacturer in Oakridge is looking for an Electronic Repair Tech that will perform printed circuit board level repairs to proprietary product designs. This position will require someone who is knowledgeable about electronic components, circuit design and troubleshooting along with industry trade tools to perform the work as required. Soldering, testing, and diagnostic tasks are the main focus along with documentation, communication and product assembly that will be required.
Working in a small organization the position will require flexibility with responsibilities and an ability to be self-reliant while also working within a team.
Company has been in business over 40+ years. We offer benefits (vacation, sick, medical (after 60 days), retirement (after 1 year)). Casual and usually very quiet working conditions.
Hours are 7:30 - 4PM M-F (or close to these hours), we can talk about this. I am also willing to discuss possibly NOT working in Oakridge if you have a shop like area within your home.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnostic and repair of Electronic Boards from our multiple products lines.
Track time and component use and document repair tickets and paperwork.
Perform bench and product testing as needed for Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Communicate to internal staff regarding scheduling, processes, explanation of work.
Support other staff with troubleshooting board level issues and testing.
Communicate to outside customers on explanation of work performed or answer technical questions as necessary.
On occasion travel within the US may be required but will not be common.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Intermediate-advanced understanding and knowledge of electronics.
Proficient in the use of test instruments like oscilloscopes, power supplies and digital multi meters.
Proficient in the use of soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and basic hand tools.
Able to read, interpret, and troubleshoot with electronic schematics.
Ability to work from procedures, drawings and parts lists as well as receiving verbal instructions.
Ability to follow and understand both technical and non-technical work instructions.
Ability to distinguish colors.
Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
Ability to be able to document diagnostic and test plans as needed.
Proficient in the use of PC software including Microsoft Office and Windows.
Must have at a least a 2 year post High School education from a technical, junior or four year college; or equivalent of at least 4 year experience/work training in electronics.

Our products are designed, built and sold directly by us for government, commercial and private agency customers. We manufacturer the widest product line in the industry and have a strong long lasting presence (over 40 years) with a focus on customer service, product development and manufacturing. We are a small organization (less than 20 employees) located in Oakridge Oregon.
COMPENSATION:
Salary: 18.00/hr - DOE (full time 40 hr week) This is negotioble DOE.
Benefits: Health Insurance, 401k matching 3%, 2 weeks accrued paid vacation + holidays (after 90 day probationary period, accural of vac/sick time starts from day 1).
