Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Operations

Location: On-Site

FLSA Status:   Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Immediate start date following successful background check

Pay: $19-23/DOE

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in all of the property's maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and can work autonomously without supervision. The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibilities include assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with managing work orders, preventative maintenance, capital projects, turnover and make ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through superior customer service. On call & some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

Assists the Maintenance Supervisor with managing the maintenance department

Help manage team members and vendors

Maintain positive resident relations through superior service

Participate in the daily operations of the property

Respond to Work Order per company policy

The Turn and Make Ready process

Conduct regular health and safety inspections

Inspecting units for Move In readiness

Ensuring company policy and state and federal safety and fair housing laws are met

Ensures company, state, and federal policies and laws are being met

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

A minimum of 2-years maintenance experience required

Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes or hotels preferred

Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred

HVAC Certification preferred

Mechanical background preferred

Good organizational and people skills

Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment

A valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance is required

A passion to serve residents, parents, vendors, and colleagues
