Sundance Natural Foods is hiring for a cook for our kitchen.
We are currently hiring for 4-5 days a week, weekend and weekdays from 8am - 4pm. This includes two weekend shifts.
Cooks work as part of a team to prepare fresh, organic, vegetarian and vegan food.
Previous food service experience is important, especially knife work and familiarity with kitchen equipment as well as food safety/health code knowledge, and ability to be focused and productive.
Sundance Kitchen's hours are 8:00am-8:00pm.
An interest in natural and organic foods is necessary. Position has potential to be part-time or full-time; wage is $15.50 per hour.
Candidate will show attention to detail, orientation toward safety, a willingness to learn new techniques, and excitement to be part of a positive, supportive work environment.
Qualifications include:
- Ability to work around heat (oven/stove) and cold (walk-in cooler/freezer)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- Ability to work effectively both alone and with others
