This is an early morning shift that starts anytime from 4AM-6AM. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: mixing bread, baking pastries, glazing pastries, making preferments, loading and lighting the wood-fired oven, pulling pastries for the following day, making glazes and fills, pre-scaling, using large mixers, and assisting with pastry production. Hideaway Bakery has a fast paced environment, and we operate our production on a large scale, so you will need to have the ability to move quickly and think on your feet.
We are open to hiring applicants with restaurant/bakery/farming/biology/ and or other backgrounds. We are willing to train if you have a genuine interest in making and baking bread and pastries. This job requires heavy lifting, organization skills, time management skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
