Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Eugene, Oregon. This role involves a range of tasks within the non-profit sector, with a focus on finance and accounting duties.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Manage Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner. Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including the posting of donations. Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions. Carry out bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Conduct data entry tasks as required. Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting and financial tasks. Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure all financial data is accounted for. Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks. Prepare and post journal entries as part of the financial record-keeping process.Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including processing invoices and overseeing outgoing payments. Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking incoming payments and resolving any discrepancies. Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, ensuring company records match those of the bank. Strong Bookkeeping skills, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions. Efficient in Data Entry, entering financial transactions into appropriate software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas. Experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data has been recorded and reconciled for the month. Knowledge of QuickBooks, using this software for various accounting tasks. Ability to record Journal Entries, documenting financial transactions in the company's ledger.
