WILLAMETTE KIDS’ PRESCHOOL IS NOW HIRING

We are expanding our program and are now hiring for several positions. We are looking for qualified Early Childhood Teachers to add to our team at Willamette Kids Preschool in Eugene.

We are looking to hire 1 full time and 1 part time Assistant Teacher position to join our team of educators.

Job Duties

Child Interaction: Interact with children in a variety of situations

Including but not limited to:

-Directing large group activities

-Contribute to collaborative curriculum planning including spiritual component

-Facilitating and guiding both small and large group activities and child-directed play,

-Scaffold onto previous play patterns and curriculum ideas

-Provide meaningful and individualized caregiving routines

-Provide one to one nurturing and support to every child served.

Classroom Leadership

-Maintain a professional rapport with parents, peers, and Supervisors

-Provide daily supervision to the classroom.

-Participate in scheduled team and staff meetings upon request.

-Must be able to work as a team with fellow staff.

-Participate in all required training. 15-25 hours per year. Must be completed and turned into ORO by May 15 of the current calendar year.

-Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other teachers on the team

-Share day to day responsibilities-such as snack set up, clean up, setting up cots, putting away cots, etc.

-Be up to date and familiar with the ELD guidelines and procedures for Child Care Centers.

-Be a good example of a team player-If you see a need please take care of it or get help.

We believe children learn through play. We use a combination of High Scope, Emergent, and Reggio techniques to offer our students a well-rounded approach that strives to meet every student’s developmental needs. Our goals include providing a foundation that fosters the growth of each child’s mind, body, and spirit in a supportive-nurturing-environment. We run on the 4j school calendar and are closed winter break, spring break and summers. We will offer summer employment placement for those teaching Summer Camps. We also have various days off during the year according to the 4j calendar.

QUALIFIED MEANS:

Must be currently qualified by the state of Oregon to work with children ages 2-5.

Have or can obtain current CPR/First Aide within 90 days of employment,

Have or obtain current food handlers card.
