Description
Ampere Scientific is a small, but growing company dedicated to the development and deployment of measurement and control solutions to the specialty metals industry. We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team to lead or assist in the management of engineering projects. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and will work with the management team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of manufacturing projects from initiation to completion.
Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Serve as point of contact for customers to communicate and plan successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain project plans and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Track expenditures within projects to ensure budgets are kept.
Track project progress and report on key metrics to stakeholders, including status updates, milestones, and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
Adhere to, support and/or refine the implementation of the Quality Management System for manufacturing.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field, or
3+ years of experience in project management or related field (internship or co-op experience may be considered).
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in project deliverables.
Experienced use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
