Quality Engineering TechnicianAstronics SubsidiaryLocationDescriptionAstronics-PECO is looking for a Quality Engineering Technician. This position will be assisting the Quality Engineering team in maintaining internal and external requirements while ensuring quality meets or exceeds our customer's expectations. This role is ideal for a new or recent college graduate with an engineering degree or someone with an associate degree and multiple years of experience as a quality inspector.We are in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood. We design, certify, manufacture, and sell a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support nonconformity evaluations and dispositions as MRB team Member

Assist Quality Engineer with Root Cause Corrective Action activities

Document and submit First Article Inspection reports using Net Inspect software

Perform internal product, AS9100, and NADCAP audits in support third party audits

Generate inspection plans to support quality inspection activities based on internal and/or external specifications

Support Regulatory Quality Engineer, FAA Repair Station activities, PMA Inspection and generation of 8130-3 Tags

Gather data and generate reports related to quality functions including first article inspections, DMRs and RMAs

Coordinate quality related data from suppliers, production and/or process improvement activities, generate and disseminate reports related to quality measures

Attends Quality Manual Standards Training and applies quality standards accordingly

Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions

Desired Skills, Training, and Experience:

Associates degree in a technical field and minimum two years of related experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, and software manuals

Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively speak and communicate with managers, customers, and employees

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have high level of comfort with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Possess high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information

Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization

Ability to work independently, with autonomy, on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments

Ability to organize and prioritize work
