Summary:
Commercial and residential repairs and maintenance to refrigeration equipment, air conditioning, electric motors, furnaces, heat pumps, and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers.
Installation and system commissioning.
Essential Tech Knowledge Required,
1. Understand refrigeration cycle to include: identifying components in refrigeration circuit, using manifold gage set, pressure/temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging.
2. Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. Ability to read basic wiring diagrams. Understanding of Ohms Law. Ability to use multimeters to read voltage, current and resistance values. must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
3. Understands the process of treating air so as to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution.
4. Understands basic heating cycle to include: identifying components in heating system, understand how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands the theory of combustion and how it relates to combustible fuels such as gas and oils.

Essential Technical Skills Required
A Technician must be able to repair, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot the following equipment,
1. Refrigerant controls (metering devices)
2. Hermetic compressors
3. Heat Pumps
4. Split systems
5. Packaged units
6. Ductless splits
7. Electronic Motors (3 phase and 1 phase)
8. Electronic motor controls (contactors, starters, relays, discounnect, thermostats, etc)
9. Light commercial furnaces, boilers burners and related controls (oil and gas)
10. Various types of water pumps
11. Intake and exhaust fans
12. Unit heaters
13. Economisers
14. Humidifiers
Essential Overall Job Duties and Responsibilities,
1. Must be able to build client confidence in company
2. Provide information to management on training needs and courses of interest
3. Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts and tools for each day's activities
4. Complete work in a timely and workman like manner
5. Coordinate with dispatcher for the use of company tools and ensure they are returned to the office in a timely manner
6. Participate in company-wide internal meetings as required
7. Maintain conpany tools in a professional manner
Education and work experience,
1. Must have an EPA Certification and at least five years trade related work experience
Additional RRequirements,
1. Must currently live in the United States (No out of coutry applicants!) This job is needing to be filled ASAP
2. Must have clean drivers license
3. On-call and overtime hours as needed
4. Good hygene and cleanliness is required at all times
5. Must adhere to the company uniform policy. (Uniforms provided and washed weekly.)
6. Maintain a clean vehicle and make office aware of maintenance issues
7. Follow rules and regulations as described in company Handbook
8. Must be able to pass a drug test at hiring and occasional random drug tests.

We are a heating company in Southern Deschutes County that has been in business for 20 years and has a large customer base that we have worked with for years, including several large commercial customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18-28.00 /hour, based on experience
Required experience:
Hvac: 5 years minimum
Required license or certification: EPA, Nate Ready to work
