Title: Network Engineer with Palo Alto Location: Thackerville OK, USA - Day1 Onsite Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1 and L2 network support onsite and remote for campus and datacenter network infrastructure.
  • Provide hands-and-feet support for operational issues and project tasks as needed.
  • Work in shifts including the weekend and night shifts, in 24x7 support environment
  • Monitor network, acknowledge events/alerts, troubleshoot, and isolate to resolve issues.
  • Review incidents, service requests, and problem tickets regularly and troubleshoot to resolve the same.
  • Verify network hardware physically for environmental and connectivity issues, in the racks, IDFs, MDFs, and Data Centers, and resolve issues
  • Plan, schedule and implement changes as needed
  • Perform OS upgrades for network infrastructure as per defined procedures
  • Involve and assist in performing project related tasks for implementing projects, such as configuration, staging, racking, stacking, and migration.
  • Work with end users or client support teams to resolve any connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with service providers/carriers, and OEM vendors to troubleshoot and resolve circuit or hardware related issues.
  • Coordinate and work with other IT support groups on complex issues as needed.
  • Document Network diagrams and SOPs as applicable
Skills:
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Data Networking, with strong knowledge and experience in Routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting technologies/protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VPN, STP, HSRP, VRRP, HSRP, VTP, Multicasting, VPC, VSS, VRF Technologies
  • Expertise with Cisco hardware platforms such as ASR and ISR routers, Nexus 9Ks and Catalyst 3K and 9K stack switches and Cisco wireless Aps and WLCs
  • Experience in physical racking, stacking, and cabling for the network equipment
  • Experience working with ACLs, NAT, Remote Access VPN, GRE/IPSEC tunnels
  • Good understanding and experience in Wireless technologies
  • Experience or knowledge in handling voice end points such as IP phones, voice gateways is desired.
  • Good experience or understanding in Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA Center, and Meraki platforms
  • Good understanding of Palo Alto or Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Should be capable to handle L1/L2 network issues individually and work with the team for complex issues
  • Experience on Monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, ISE
  • Should have good knowledge working with ITIL framework and ITSM tools and practices.
  • CCNA / CCNP certifications are desired
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), should be capable to understand customers' requirements and act accordingly
  • Open to work in shifts including the weekend and night shifts, in 24x7 support environment.
