Prestage Farms is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sow Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 2,500 head sow farm. The Sow Farm Manager will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and productive performance of the sows, as well as the management of farm staff and resources.Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sow farm management
Excellent leadership and team-building skills
Strong understanding of swine production and herd management
Knowledge of herd health, nutrition, and production
Ability to implement biosecurity measures and ensure herd health protocols
Understanding of record-keeping and data analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Good communication skills to interact with staff and management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks
