Lead Service Technician
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
Lead, supervise, and train a team of Service Technicians.
Oversee the quality and efficiency of all field service activities.
Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to team members.
Manage paperwork flow and ensure accuracy throughout the billing process.
Field Service Expertise:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on gas engine compressors and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.
Conduct major overhauls and revamps of equipment.
Utilize specialized tools and software for diagnostics and performance analysis.
Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency repairs.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all company and client safety protocols.
Participate in safety training programs and job safety analyses.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Vocational/trade school or associate's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of field experience with gas engine compressors or similar equipment.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with specialized tools and software for diagnostics and repair.
Effective leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications:
Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of OSHA-required respiratory questionnaire and fit test.
