The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and drawings, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with clients, contractors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure cost control
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate budgeting
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Knowledge of construction management and project management principles
