Position Title: I/T Help Desk Coordinator

General Definition: The I/T Coordinator is responsible for the proper operation of the casino facilities and administrative office servers, workstations, printers, routers, backups, telephone systems, and the supervision of Help Desk Administrators. In addition to day-to-day operations, the IT Coordinator is responsible for any future expansions based on the business needs.

Supervision Received: Director of Information Tech

Supervision Exercised: Help Desk Administrator

Essential Job Functions:

Implements IT strategies to meet immediate and long-term business objectives.

Performs routine audits of systems and software and performs daily back-ups.

Interacts with co-workers and vendors in a positive and effective manner.

Makes recommendations for purchasing and licensing activities for all software, hardware and other IT supplies.

Ensures the control, integrity, and accessibility of web applications for the casino facilities and administration offices.

Makes recommendations and assesses training and skills requirements in line with the business strategic plan and technology road maps.

Requires regular 24/7 on-call status.

Monitors and ensures compliance of Service Level Agreements.

Implements all telephone changes, including routing for seating assignments.

Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure.

Identifies and provides standards for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to Director of IT.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, Vocational School or university in Computer Science. Combination of education and experience accept in lieu of degree.

Minimum of three (3) to three (5) years of IT experience.

One (1) year of supervisory or management experience (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient with software such as: VMWare, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Office Suite, EMC Networker and EMC Storage Solutions.

Proficient with HP Servers, Cisco UCS Servers, EMC Storage, data backups, HP Switching, Firewall Routers, and IPS/IDS.

Proven skills with Architecture of Network Topology and trouble shooting.

Must be able to work independently or in groups with little or no supervision.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to travel and will be required to work extended hours outside of normal business hours.

Must demonstrate integrity and maintain confidentiality with all guests, employee and proprietary information.

Must be able to follow all instructions, written and oral.

Must be able to work in a casino environment where secondhand smoke, loud noises and flashing lights are present, when warranted.

Must be able to sit stand, reach, and walk for extended periods of time.

Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Licenses:

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass a thorough background investigation of criminal and financial history to obtain a Gaming License from the Office of the Delaware Gaming Commission.

Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
