Job Title: PhlebotomistAbout UsActalent is hiring for a behavioral clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team.Job SummaryAs a Phlebotomist, you will collect and process blood samples from patients, provide exceptional patient care and support our medical staff.Responsibilities1.Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques2.Verify patient identity and label samples accurately3.Process and prepare samples for testing and analysis4.Provide clear instructions and reassure anxious patients5.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines6.Collaborate with medical staff and laboratory personnel7.Perform basic clerical tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping8.Participate in quality control and assurance activitiesRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Completion of phlebotomy training program (CP, CPT or PBT)
Certification (CPT, CP, PBT) or eligible
1+ year of experience in phlebotomy or related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Work ScheduleHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMWork EnvironmentThe position is based in a hospital and lab environment, where you will be interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
