Job Title: Product EngineerJob DescriptionThe Product Engineer is responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing new product offerings, as well as sustaining current products. This role involves developing new product specifications and project plans, designing and testing machines, and supporting the industrialization of final product designs. The successful candidate will work hands-on with a small team of engineers, designers, build technicians, and suppliers.Responsibilities

Execute the evaluation, design, analysis, prototyping, and testing for assigned projects using sound engineering principles while adhering to company standards, product requirements, and regulatory requirements.

Perform mechanical engineering trade studies and calculations for assigned projects.

Plan and execute new product introduction, sustaining, and cost savings projects.

Manage timeline, budget, and product costs for assigned projects and provide regular status updates to leadership team.

Organize and complete product Design Reviews for assigned projects.

Provide technical direction to Designers to accomplish desired project objectives.

Create, verify, and maintain 3D models and assemblies, detail drawings, and schematics, and Bills of Materials per company standards.

Initiate and/or process Engineering Change Orders for new and existing products.

Direct and coordinate building prototypes, clarify and resolve problems found during execution, and prepare design modifications as appropriate.

Provide content for technical publications such as Operator Manuals, Parts and Service Manuals, and Technical Bulletins.

Provide technical support for Customer Service and Field Technicians.

Support manufacturing and operations efforts as needed.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

3+ years of Hydraulic Systems Design experience.

Experience working with heavy equipment (construction, agriculture, mining, etc).

Mechanical Design experience including structures, mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, IC engines, and systems integration.

Experience with Inventor preferred, but open to other 3D modeling experience.

Experience working within a PDM/PLM system.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based out of the office located in Fairfield, OH, and requires being in the office 5 days a week. The company is open to relocation and allows for remote work until relocation is complete.
