Description We are looking to bring a Senior Accountant on board in our team located in WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio. The primary function of this role will be to strategically enhance and maintain the financial strength of the company through innovative ideas, accurate accounting, tax compliance, and high-quality budgeting. You will also be responsible for financial analysis, vendor pricing updates, tax return preparation, and managing accounting activities for the Transportation company.Responsibilities: Actively participate in the month and year-end processes for the company and its subsidiaries. Assist in the preparation and examination of accounting records, financial documents, or other financial reports to ensure accuracy and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Lead the implementation of vendor pricing changes in the ERP system. Oversee financial and accounting activities for the Transportation company. Support the tax department by preparing and assisting in the approval of sales tax returns and audits. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses and provide advice. Play an active role in the annual budget process. Participate in quarterly and year-end financial audit activities. Lead various projects to support managers. Utilize Sage Accounting Software to ensure accurate financial reporting and perform reconciliations. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field Proficient in using Sage Accounting Software Strong ability to perform Reconciliations Proven experience in Financial Reporting Demonstrable skills in Budgeting and Forecasting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field preferred CPA or other relevant certification is a plus Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
