This position will temporarily sit in the Streetsboro, OH office until the new office opens in Hudson, OH.Are you someone who embraces challenges? If so, you might be a great fit for our Vice President Construction role, a part of Spectrum’s Field Operations business unit.The Field Operations organization has a keen focus on plant performance, outage and service-call reduction, productivity and quality assurance. They are responsible for maintaining our cable plant, including node and coax maintenance, plant construction and delivering quality service to the homes and businesses of our customers.At Spectrum, we keep nearly 32 million customers connected across our 41-state footprint. Vice Presidents of Construction serve as the point person for the regional construction team to actively and consistently support all efforts to expand our customer base.BE PART OF THE CONNECTIONThe Vice President Construction is responsible for providing leadership and direction to manage all construction activity in assigned RDOF region and the states with an estimated budget of $700 – $900M and a team of approximately 40 employees. Specific tasks include:

Developing RDOF region construction teams and secure and support construction contractor resources to meet construction schedule and FCC milestones in all areas.

Working closely with Field Operations region leadership to ensure that they are informed and have input into construction plans, that BAU operations are not compromised, and that there are consistent processes to activate/handoff plant

Working closely with VP of Design, VP of Plant Regulatory Strategy & Deployment, Legal, Government Affairs, Procurement, Customer Operations, Marketing and Corporate Leadership to plan/execute the overall project

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Experience : Experience working and leading the field construction/engineering function in the cable/communication business (10+years), management of annual budget preparation and implementation (8 years), senior level management experience (10+years)

Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent field experience; SCTE/BCTE certification or equivalent field experience

Industry and vendor specific certifications and training

Advanced Knowledge of FTTH, HFC, and IP Networks

Knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations, a comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations; Comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state; Comprehensive understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems; Advanced knowledge of Digital Transmission; Advanced knowledge of Electronic theory Advanced knowledge of Federal Communications Commission regulations; Advanced knowledge of Fiber Optic theory; Knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code
