Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee and manage MEP trades during pre-construction and throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical and electrical construction, as well as subcontractor management. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting healthcare-related projects and be part of an award-winning team.Responsibilities
Review Contract Documents and suggest modifications as they relate to MEP trades.
Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout the duration of the project, from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to the owner.
Assist the Scheduling department in developing detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading.
Collaborate with the Superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans.
Review and approve material and equipment for MEP systems prior to installation.
Monitor the installation and start-up of MEP systems and the commissioning of the project with the Engineer and Owner.
Coordinate activities, materials procurement, and other related activities with the Project Manager and Field Staff.
Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed.
Take overall responsibility for the performance of all MEP trades.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience managing MEP subcontractors.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related engineering disciplines.
Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Experience with estimating and life cycle costs.
Mechanical construction experience.
Electrical construction experience.
Strong subcontractor management skills.
