- The primary purpose of this position is to lead hospital Supply Chain logistics within Central Ohio and provide alignment of system objectives.
- To develop and execute supply chain objectives for the hospital and organization that continually increase operational efficiencies, maximizing return on investment for supply chain assets and drive cost reduction.
- To achieve system objectives in drug, supply, linen, postage, and other purchased service expense, while optimizing distribution, warehousing, and transportation costs.
- Proactively directs the organization in the adoption of: Leading edge supply chain logistics programs that support system strategies; leading edge information system technologies; and advanced inventory optimization techniques.
- Business Administration or Healthcare Administration and 5 years of experience in supply Chain setting of multi hospital system in progressively responsible positions; or 4-year Bachelor's degree and
- 7 - 10 years of experience in supply Chain setting of multi hospital system in progressively responsible positions.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced knowledge of principals and practices for vendor management and contract administration
- Experience with accounts payable, purchasing, contracting, data integrity and receiving processes
- Knowledge of six sigma and Lean processes Inventory Replenishment Methodologies Financial and Cost Accounting Payment reimbursement, particularly in supply reimbursement Past success in defining, developing and implementing process plans shown ability to build teams and execute supply chain initiatives
- Ability to demonstrate previous negotiation successes.
