Catering sous Chef: We are searching for a person with a positive disposition that can handle a busy kitchen with an assertive and calm approach, to work with our staff and with a "can
do" attitude, and that always has in mind that we are in the business of serving people. You will work with the owner /executive chef to run the kitchen in his absence. This is a fun and exciting opportunity for an energetic, culinary professional.
Responsibilities:
Prep for catering events as needed.
Produces and execute catering events
Works with the management of facility in place of owner when necessary.
Keeping product rotated and properly labeled.
Follows sanitation practices in daily practice and can identify a HACCP situation and act accordingly
Knife skills are essential
Preferred Qualifications:
Some culinary/kitchen management experience
Catering experience a plus
Knowledge of culinary terms such as mis en place and roux and cuts such as brunois and batonnet would be great
