The Dishwasher is responsible for loading and unloading of the dishwashers, cleaning the kitchen and food preparation areas, and following health and safety regulations.
Dishwasher/Steward duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepares tableware for washing, i.e., scrapes plates, pre-soak silver, places all items to be washed in their proper rack.
Sets up dishwashing machine, i.e., drains closed, tanks filled temperatures at the correct level.
Washes dishes and then stacks and stores China in the appropriate kitchen area.
Thoroughly cleans dishwashing equipment and working areas.
Collects all soiled pots, wash and restacks cleaned pots on shelves.
Taking out trash.
Mops and sweeps floors.
Washes walls and dish area.
Polishes silverware.
Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures as instructed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, and lift things.
Occasional exposure to outdoors, odors, noise, heat, steam, in/out walk-in freezer, cleaning chemicals, and detergent.
Lifting up to 20lb often and 45lb occasionally.
