job summary:Seeking a Database Engineer to join our Columbus, OH based client! This is a full time, remote opportunity!
Responsibilities- 70% time in project works - building new solutions and automation for the database systems in the cloud
- Responsible for monitoring and observability for the availability, latency, performance, efficiency of databases and other storage services in the cloud
- Deliver both cloud implementation and maintenance. Work with product/SRE team to launchSnew database features or enhance capabilities
- Support Forecasting and Capacity Planning for cloud infrastructures
- Communicating with Internal and external stakeholders on production reliability metrics and changes
- Work with engineering team members for on-call duty & rotation, ability to do knowledge sharing by providing documentation and training
- Proficient in one or more database technologies (PostgreSQL is required)
- 5 - 8 years of experience in hands-on deploying, and in-depth tuning of database solutions (in cloud platforms e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is plus)
- Experience in leading a large scale database topology design and deployment with HA, backup, disaster recovery, and security considerations
- Experience in providing support and maintenance of production database systems as well as database migration
- Experience with the fast-paced, agile development team and customers satisfaction focused engineering team
- Experience with on-call, production incidents response, and perform RCA
- Experience with log management tools, building monitoring dashboard
- Experience with manage SLA and contribute to the cross-function team
