And because we understand the mind-body connection, we see the whole person not just a body part or a quick-fix procedure.Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist overviewThe Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist at Donaldson works with the Surgical Team and the entire provider team to administer treatments, providing excellent customer care while promoting the Donaldson brand and products. Always oriented toward assisting the team, the Medical Assistant also arranges client rooms before appointments, and rooms each patient. The Medical Assistant is always knowledgeable about the Practices services and treatment plans. You are a central part of the patient journey and help to create the excitement to embrace a life changing procedure.Core responsibilities

Assist Board Certified Plastic Surgery consult patients, size breast implant patients, and prepare for surgery

Takes and records vitals including blood pressure, heart rate, weight, oxygen saturation, orthostatic vitals when needed.

Assist in patient discharge when needed.

Assist Surgical Team Coordinators with administrative tasks like ordering supplies and stocking or patient-focused tasks like contacting patients when needed.

Prepare rooms for client appointments; this includes ensuring the room is clean.

Quickly gather information from clients when taking them to the room for their appointment, noting any issues or questions for Providers to address.

Understand and know clients to build relationships and facilitate genuine interactions.

Other duties as assigned

General responsibilities

Aid in client-stewardship, including greeting clients upon arrival, escorting to rooms, providing water or other items as client may need, and escorting to the front upon completion of appointment.

With team, turn rooms around in between clients; ensure that room is tidy and that the room is prepared for the next clients arrival.

Assist team in answering phone calls and client questions when necessary.

Willing to work as a team in a patient centered office.

Desired experience and education

Medical Assistant Certification preferred

Phlebotomy Certification preferred

1-2 years of experience working in an outpatient setting.
