DescriptionAt Engineer I Career Level, the Engineer is capable of performing tasks related to electronics development of Powertrain ECU systems with moderate oversight, utilizing their engineering skill to overcome standard development issues. Powertrain ECU systems may include Engine Control, Transmission Control, All-wheel Drive Control or related areas, including development of electronic hardware, software and electrical system architecture. Key Responsibilities Project and team management: understanding project expectations, correlating technical details with key stakeholders and negotiating the schedule for deliverables 30 Engineering specification design for Powertrain ECU applications, including electrical circuit hardware and software in tools such as MATLAB Simulink or MS VISIO. 10 Engineering troubleshooting, root cause analysis and solution design: Working hands-on in prototype or mass production level vehicles to identify Powertrain electronics functional issues and the steps required for resolution. 20 Testing and verification of ECU specifications related to hardware and software: Performing testing in prototype or mass production level vehicles related electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) or verification of technical change points to ensure proper electrical functional performance, quality and reliability. 30 Improvement and innovation: Investigating new processes or technologies to improve Powertrain electronic system performance or development capability and efficiency. 5 Cyber security requirement analysis and implementation verification: Work together with cyber security specialists to understand the security requirements needed for Powertrain ECU applications, create and verify related specifications and work with ECU suppliers on implementations. 5Skillselectronics, electrical system, raspberry pi, simulink, ECU Systems, Electrical system architecture, electronic hardware, software development, matlab, ms visio, computer programming, powertrain control, powertrain components, Electrical Testing, OTA, ECU Testing, Testing validation, Over the Air, CAN, CAN Bus, Controller Area Network, electronic engineering, hardware/software, hardware integration, Electrical engineering, Calibration software, Software development life cycle, Powertrain, Project managementTop Skills Detailselectronics,electrical system,raspberry pi,simulink,ECU Systems,Electrical system architecture,electronic hardware,software development,matlab,ms visio,computer programming,powertrain control,powertrain components,Electrical Testing,OTA,ECU Testing,TestiAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust Haves -2-3 years experience in Powertrain ECU development. -CAN Experience - Electrical Powertrain ECU development Testing.
