Unique opportunity to lead and create in a historic Cleveland neighborhood!
We are currently seeking a driven, creative Executive Chef - Kitchen Manager to lead our back of the house team. The Executive Chef executes and oversees all kitchen/back of the house operations and ensures that all standards of quality are being met. The Chef will optimize food, labor, and indirect costs through consistent training and supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties to include daily decision making, staff support, scheduling and planning while upholding product quality, standards and cleanliness. Manages staffing throughout shift. Provides team members with ongoing feedback and takes appropriate follow up action.
Controls cost of sales through proper inventory, ordering and receiving
Ensures food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization and sanitation. Performs line checks throughout the shift.
Checks daily food production and par levels as necessary with the Sous Chef and line cooks.
Prepares and trains team members for daily specials and new menu implementations.
Provides ongoing feedback
Develops kitchen team members through training, shift meetings and individual instruction.
Keeps ownership informed of all issues and takes prompt corrective action when necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
Creates a positive work environment through building morale in the kitchen and commitment to great shifts each day.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, conducive to optimizing employee morale, productivity and efficiency.
At all times provides a favorable image to team members, guests, vendor partners and our community.
