We at A-STAR, a commercial exterior contractor specializing in roofing and siding, are seeking to add an Estimator to our team. The ideal candidate will posses a willingness to learn our business with two-three years of commercial construction experience or currentlypursuing a degree in Construction Management.
Responsibilities:
Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates.
Assist head estimator with takeoffs, estimates, bids and proposals.
Communicate with customers pre-bid time and write RFI’s.
Coordinate with project management team upon successful award.
Create budgets for our customers.
Attend pre-bid meetings and job meetings as needed.
Review labor and material budgets.
Order materials.
Customer relations.
Product submittals.
Scheduling of labor and material delivers.
Manage one to three projects while also maintaining a balance with estimating duties.
Participate in “handoff” meetings for projects that will be managed by others.
Job Requirements:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products.
Knowledge of takeoff software is preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and interpret plans and specifications.
Ability to work independently with little direction.
Dependable.
Strong communication skills.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday.
Full-Time role but could begin part-time for those finishing their degree
