Part-Time Cook – Taproom & Event Space

We are looking for a dedicated, skilled and reliable Cook to join our team at our Taproom & Event Space, which operates two nights a week plus special events. This role is perfect for someone passionate about crafting quality food in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items with consistency and quality.

Assist in food prep, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining health standards.

Work efficiently during service, especially on busy event nights.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food items.

Requirements:

Passion for food and a positive attitude.

Previous cooking experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work evening shifts, weekends and flexible hours for events.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when needed.

Cleaning and Sanitation:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning cooking equipment, surfaces, and utensils.

Follow proper food safety practices, including regular hand washing and sanitizing work areas.

Clean and sanitize kitchen areas during and after shifts, including dishwashing and deep cleaning as needed.

Closing Procedures:

Ensure all cooking equipment is turned off and cleaned at the end of the shift.

Store leftover food properly and ensure inventory is in order for the next day.

Assist in checking food and supply levels and communicate needs to supervisors.

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food delivery.

Assist with training and mentoring new kitchen staff as needed.

Communicate any issues or concerns to the kitchen supervisor or manager promptly.

Compensation:

$10.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Tip share on food sales in addition to hourly pay.
