Head of Consumer Home Equity Lending

DescriptionT he Head of Home Equity will be responsible for developing and driving the strategic plan for the entire Home Equity division. This P&L leader will create and implement performance objectives, service standards, goals and objectives, and procedures, ensuring that all financial and compliance standards are met while delivering best in class products and services. As the Head of Home Equity, you will plan, implement, and execute the strategy of the Home Equity segment in line with the organizational objectives within the Consumer Bank. From these objectives, you will develop short- and long-term goals that continue to build on Citizens’ position as one of the top Home Equity originators in the United States.You will be responsible for the overall execution of the strategic plan and the ultimate profitability and development of the line of business. You will participate in long range growth planning across the enterprise including involvement within market, regional, and overall strategy and growth plans. The Head of Home Equity will work in tandem with the Consumer Lending leadership team and senior management to ensure consistency across sales, products, and client experience.You will own the innovation agenda and lead a team responsible for driving increased business development, revenue, and customer experience. To achieve these goals, you will analyze performance, distribution strategies, and financial and operating statements, as well as champion for employee engagement by identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent. Job responsibilities:

Drives innovation and continued progress in experience modernization necessary to maintain industry-leading NPS and cycle times.

Effectively manages pricing, credit risk, and operating costs to drive achievement of portfolio growth return targets.

Collaborates across enterprise stakeholders in Retail, Marketing, ED&A, and Operations to deliver sales and retention targets.

Maintains high standards for colleague engagement and credo-driven culture to ensure continued acquisition and retention of top talent.

Ensures adherence to all legal and regulatory standards and sets a high bar for business controls, disciplined decision-making, and quality.

Qualifications:

10+ years of consumer lending experience, preferably including experience in property-secured residential lending.

5+ years of experience in P&L management, preferably within a consumer lending business line

Extensive experience in leading a large, multi-function operations center with orchestration of complex processes (call center, underwriting, etc)

Demonstrated success in driving innovation in financial services with a focus on technology, analytics, and agile delivery.

Strong customer-focused approach to business with high standards for delivering a frictionless experience.

Track record of driving results in a large matrixed organization, requiring collaboration across multiple channels and functional areas
