Job DescriptionAn employer is seeking a Component Development Engineer for a long-term opportunity in the Blue Ash, OH area. This candidate will support a R&D project that is developing a new surgical device and will be responsible for component and supplier level management and design. This is engineer will work with the Development Engineering Team for all things related to Metal/Plastic Components (production/assembly equipment and processes). This engineer will work heavily with internal R&D NPD teams as well as external suppliers of metal and plastic components. They will see the entire project through from prototype to production mold. The client is looking for someone who can develop manufacturing process plans, improve workflow & production operations, and can lead improvement projects.Prior working knowledge of G10002 or CP150 are preferred as is the creation of ERRs (equipment requirement reviews) for supplier capacity planning. The component development engineer will also be expected to work in MS Project for scheduling responsibilities as well as overseeing manufacturing cycle times, yield, throughput, capacity utilization, efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
