Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in a Manufacturing industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The AR Clerk will be responsible for managing billing processes, invoices, and ACH payments to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments and proper record-keeping. This role demands strong organizational skills, proficiency with financial systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, making a critical contribution to the business's financial health.Key Responsibilities:

Billing and Invoicing: Prepare, issue, and distribute invoices to customers while ensuring all billing information is accurate and complete (Source: SG25 US Finance and Accounting context).

Payment Processing: Monitor ACH transactions, verify payment data, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate records of customer payments.

Customer Communication: Assist customers with billing inquiries, payment reminders, and resolving payment-related issues.

Accounts Management: Maintain and update customer accounts accurately in accounting software, tracking outstanding receivables and ensuring timely follow-ups.

Accounting Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile AR-related accounts during month-end and year-end closing.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and standards such as GAAP.

Reporting: Generate AR aging reports and other essential financial documents to provide insights into collections and outstanding balances.

Requirements

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) within the manufacturing industry or a related field Demonstrable experience in billing procedures Prior experience with cash applications Skilled in cash collections practices, with a focus on commercial collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced functions and formulas Experience with ERP Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
