Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Asphalt Laboratory and Density Technicians to join our quality team. As an essential member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of asphalt compaction, and lab testing for various projects, and contractors. We are based in Dayton, Ohio but work throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct asphalt density and lab testing on construction sites using appropriate equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Work in adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in quality control or construction materials testing are a plus.
- Proven experience as an Asphalt Density Technician or similar role in highway construction is a plus but not necessary.
- Knowledge of testing equipment and procedures for asphalt density is a plus but not necessary.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office mainly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test reporting.
- Basic mathematics skills are a must.
- A background in construction, paving, or asphalt plant operations is very helpful.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Valid drivers a must.
- Overnight travel is possible.
-Able to work at night.
- Able to lift 70 pounds.
