Job Title: Mechanical Test Engineer - Project EngineerJob DescriptionThe main function of a Mechanical Engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. This role involves creating engineering drawings and interpreting blueprints. The position is located at the Mossville facility, operating primarily between the engineering building (Tech Center Building E) and the test lab (Tech Center Building L). The role is a hybrid of test engineering and design engineering, with a significant emphasis on test engineering due to a high test burden. This is an on-site position with a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of three days a week in the office.Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.

Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility for project completion.

Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.

Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment to ensure they are installed and functioning according to specifications.

Resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

8-10 years of hands-on experience in engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional experience in test engineering and working in a test lab environment.

Experience with data acquisition systems (both analog and digital).

Familiarity with industry-standard CAN data acquisition equipment.

Proficiency in design tools such as ProE Creo and SolidWorks.

Ability to generate test reports and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Self-starter with high accountability and the ability to work independently with limited direction.

Minimum of five years of professional full-time experience in a related field, or a master's degree with relevant experience.

Experience with diesel engines or automotive testing.

Professional experience in fluid dynamics and fluid system development.

Familiarity with AVL data acquisition systems and Vector CANape tools.

Experience with component development and validation.

Ability to be cross-functional across both test and design engineering.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based at the Mossville facility, primarily located in the engineering building (Tech Center Building E) and the test lab (Tech Center Building L). The position requires a hybrid work environment with a minimum of three days a week in the office. The role involves working in a test lab environment and handling various design tools and data acquisition systems.
