Position: Advanced Security EngineerDuration: 6 Month, Contract to HireLocation: Blue Ash, OH (Open to remote)Pay: Market value commensurate with experience / W2 Only / No C2CBenefits: CRG offers a full comprehensive package during contract periodJOB DESCRIPTIONProvide advanced and/or cross-technology engineering through all phases of the Technology/Project Life Cycle. The Technology Engineer is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. The Technology Engineer designs, implements/installs, maintains, and administers infrastructure systems including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. The Technology Engineer mentors and coaches' others to establish and improve processes and procedures.REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years experience in support and/or engineering for the specific technical discipline:
- Security, database, network, collaboration, desktop, storage, backup/recovery, mainframe platforms, UNIX platforms, AS/400 platforms, Windows platforms, web engineering, Citrix, directory services, and integration (EAI, batch and real time solutions)
- IAM foundations. Familiarity with governance and compliance
- Cloud Security/ Firewalls
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to understand company business problems and identify probable technical solutions to those problems
- Oversee information security tools/services including Identity & Access Management (IAM), cloud security, cryptography, logging & alerting, security operation, malware detection, incident response, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, security architecture, & digital forensics
- Guide the implementation of network and computer security and ensures compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures
- Assist with the monitoring of all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software
- Monitor server and firewall logs, scrutinize network traffic, establish and update vulnerability scans
- Analyze and resolve highly complex and unique security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and conduct user activity audits where required
- Manage and ensure the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally
- Oversee penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities; design, implement, and report on security system and end user activity audits
- Develop new and modify existing security policies and procedures to maintain compliance
- Evaluate existing and recommend new and emerging security technologies
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts
- Communicate important updates with key stakeholders across the organization
- Coach and mentor other members of the security engineering team
