Job Summary:

Vizmeg Landscape is seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Technician/Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of our fleet vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition and meet safety standards. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and other preventive measures.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of vehicles.

Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues before they become major problems

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify vehicle problems.

Implement effective solutions to ensure timely and efficient repairs.

Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.

Document parts used, labor hours, and completed services in the maintenance management system.

Track and report on the condition and performance of fleet vehicles.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Participate in safety training and meetings as required.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with other technicians and team members to prioritize and complete work orders.

Communicate effectively with the Fleet Manager regarding vehicle status and any issues.

Provide assistance and expertise during emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably with fleet vehicles.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.

Proficient in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
