Hiring in April / May
I am a quadriplegic focused on research and advocacy surrounding the spinal cord injury community.
I live at home but require a substantial amounts of help from live-in Care providers.
Both times that I've been in nursing homes, made me realize how many people are burned out and beaten up by the industry. Meeting many of these people and having thinking to myself that they deserve better, I'm hoping to find one or two of you!
I met aids, nurses, therapists, and almost everyone else the corporations that own those types of settings don't care about.
I'm looking for two people who would like to alternate weeks working one week on and one week off. It's a beautiful area with lots of deer and turkey in the backyard and the neighborhood is quiet and quaint. After rents, utilities, and taxes each person will be making 45k.
The environment is laid back but always upbeat. I work from home and am involved in multiple projects between working for the hospital where I went for my spinal cord injury rehab and working with a Medtech startup developing adaptive tech to change the lives of those with spinal cord injuries.
There will be multiple interviews and a background check that ensures a safe working environment. I don't take any drugs or Pharmaceuticals except for my medical marijuana license and have an occasional drink but nothing more.
I've always loved to travel and been an Explorer but just now stable enough in my physical health and support to start thinking about these types of endeavors again. I've traveled 49 states and lived in all of the good ones and would prefer someone well traveled if I had my choosing.
I am fine with male or female as long as there is a level of professionalism and comfortability. If you're coming from an industry other than Healthcare and interested in applying, I am open to that as well given the right situation. The training is quick and easy and also paid for. We are looking for one person to start in April and another to start in May.
