Participates in education and service in general clinical pharmacy or in a specialty area (Pharmacy Research Fellows who are 100% dedicated to Outcomes Research and Pharmacoeconomics also may be included). Routinely interacts with physicians and nurses to make recommendations regarding drug therapy of patients under the tutelage of a clinical pharmacy preceptor. Receives education and training in various areas of clinical pharmacy and will also serve to educate staff pharmacists, supportive personnel, and pharmacy students, as well as other allied health professionals, nurses, and physicians in pharmacotherapy.
