This is a Public Notice for position(s) being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for PERM position of Maintenance Mechanic Leader, WL-4749-11.Minot Civilian Personnel Office is accepting applications for the position identified below. Hourly Wage: $45.14 - $52.68Work location: 5th Civil Engineering Squadron, Minot AFB, NDPlease submit your resume, transcripts, and any related certifications by e-mail to: [email protected] primary purpose of this position is: To lead three or more workers to accomplish trades and/or labor work on a substantially full time and continuing basis. Leader is responsible to both perform the work assigned by a supervisor and ensures that subordinates completed assigned work consistent with trades and labor standards.Duties:

1. Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers.

2. Performs work.

3. As a working leader of three or more workers, performs/leads nuclear hoist and locksmithing.

4.Performs/leads welding, construction, and overhead door maintenance/repairs.RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):

1. Working knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s).

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and equipment common to trades and labor work performed by the group being led.

4. Skill in performing the trade and /or labor work of the group being led.

5. Ability to lead a team of three or more labor or trade employees.

6. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.Other significant facts pertaining to this position are:

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

2. Must be able to obtain within 1 year or have previous or current General Services Administration safe inspection certification.

3. May be required to obtain within 1 year or have previous or current GTAW Level I welding certification.

4. Must be able to obtain within 1 year or have a previous or current Overhead Crane Inspection - Course 818 certification.

5. Shift work may be required.

6. Emergency overtime may be required/recall to duty.

7. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.

8. May be required to train and/or guide lower grade or lesser-experienced employees as required.

9. May be required to be certified for working with/and or removing hazardous materials.

10. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
