As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be generating new business by actively promoting our interlocking services to residential clients. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, energetic, and ready to take initiative. You will be going door to door in targeted neighborhoods to identify potential customers, present our services, and ultimately close sales. Your ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and offer customized solutions will be key to your success in this role.
Beyond lead generation, you’ll be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the sales process. This includes conducting follow-ups, providing ongoing communication, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction from initial contact through project completion. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and informative presentations, answering questions, and addressing any concerns with clarity and confidence. Your ability to convey the value and benefits of our interlocking solutions will be critical in helping clients make informed decisions.
We’re looking for candidates who have a proven track record in sales, ideally within the construction or home improvement industries. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be interacting directly with homeowners and representing our brand in the community. Experience with or knowledge of the interlocking process, including materials and installation standards, is highly preferred, though not mandatory. What matters most is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and the drive to succeed in a competitive environment.
This role requires a high level of independence and discipline. You should be comfortable managing your own schedule, setting goals, and working without constant supervision. A high school diploma is preferred, as is experience using Microsoft Office and Excel to track and report sales activities. Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, as travel within the greater Fargo area will be a regular part of the job.
Compensation for this position is commission-based, offering you the opportunity to earn based on your performance.
