The VP, Data Management will oversee management of Data Management projects, ensuring high standards of client satisfaction, quality, and efficiency are maintained. Responsibilities: Ensure project timelines are met Ensure projects are completed within or below budget Ensure a high level of client satisfaction Keep executive management informed of Data Management project and office status in relation to budget, personnel, quality and timelines. Provide executive management with reports on a monthly basis Liaise with other ICON managers to improve the effectiveness of the organization Ensure interdepartmental processes are efficient and cost effective Maintain a high level knowledge regarding Data Management project issues with the ability to “drill down” to detail as needed Provide direction to Data Management personnel including hiring, training, and coaching to develop employee skills and evaluate performance. Oversee the effective management of all staff within Data Management. Ensure accountability and responsibility at all levels Maintain ICON’s culture and values Engender openness and trust Ensure open communications Serve as a liaison with clients on significant project developments and new business, as appropriate. Contact clients (senior management/department heads) on a quarterly basis to ensure client satisfaction Institute corrective actions as needed Notify executive management regarding any serious issues Overview the planning, acquisition, and implementation of systems to meet the Data Management needs of the organization. Interact with other functions within the organisation to ensure that the functions within Data Management operate efficiently and meet applicable regulatory requirements. Provide strategic direction to business development plans and support business development at client meetings to ensure growth in the regions Prepare and manage departmental budget in keeping with departmental objectives and goals as well as corporate objectives and goals. Oversee the development of Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines for the functioning of Data Management. Proactively support and lead the implementation of regional initiatives to meet business requirements Communication Establish regular methods and channels of communication within Data Management to ensure they are up to date and informed of company initiatives and progress. Act as the liaison person for driving company initiatives as assigned Ensure collaboration and cooperation between departments Liaises and communicates with other Data Management groups within the organization. In cooperation with appropriate senior management, and with the support of the Finance group, develop and maintain DM budgets for ROW and Europe to meet annual targets.
