Project Online System and Schedule Administrator for NDIT and other state agencies. NDIT is seeking a dynamic individual to play a key role in managing the implementation of statewide information technology projects. The successful candidate will be a Microsoft Project/project planning and scheduling expert who enjoys working with people in a collaborative environment, who can learn quickly in a rapidly changing technology landscape, and who embodies the core values that we follow as public servants for the State of ND: Gratitude, Humility, Curiosity, and Courage.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the ideal

Project Online System and Schedule Administrator candidate will include one the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science, computer or management information systems, project management, business administration, or a closely related field, and

    four years of current and progressive related work experience that involved business process analysis, project plan development, group facilitation, project scheduling, and management of resources
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in another field and

    five years of current and progressive related work experience that involved business process analysis, project plan development, group facilitation, project scheduling, and management of resources
  • Preference to candidates who hold the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or the PMI Scheduling Professional certification (PMI-SP)

Summary of Work: As a part of the State of ND’s project management office (PMO), work for this position involves the application of project management principles, methodologies, standards, and best practices in leading and managing the PMO’s project scheduling practice across all phases of information technology projects.The successful

Project Online System and Schedule Administrator candidate isresponsible for providing scheduling management for the state’s enterprise portfolio. The successful candidate will manage schedules for projects and portfolios of various sizes (small, medium and large) that may cross multiple business units with similar or related job functions. The successful

Project Online System and Schedule Administrator candidate will be responsible for enterprise project portfolio management (PPM) system management, including new or multiple technologies, and integration with other applications or business processes. Projects may range in structure from traditional/waterfall to various agile/hybrid frameworks.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Project planning, executing, monitoring,controlling,reportingand leadership
  • Coordination of people, processes,resources,and technologies as needed to deliver on-time and on-budget project results
  • Facilitation ofprocurements, and negotiating and overseeing contract details
  • Identify and resolveproject issues and conflicts
  • Establish and manage project cost, schedule, budget, variance, and other reporting information in the state’sMicrosoft Project Online-based enterprise system
  • Training users on the use of the Microsoft Project Online system
  • Configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Microsoft Project Online system
