Symphony Health is seeking a hands-on, results oriented Manager, Data Science to lead teams of operational data analysts and who will work closely with multiple teams including Symphony IT & Operations and ICON IT, Governance & Privacy, Business Development, Analytics and Project Management Teams. The expectations is that the manager will foster a team environment and facilitate cross-training of team members by mentoring team members through complex projects and technical issues. Overall, the Manager will manage day to day activities of team which engages both internal and external customers to evaluate their needs and custom specifications and translate these into business requirements. Using professional communication, both written and verbal, with all customers to foster a win-win relationship, the Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the research of reported issues from customers to identify the root cause and apply permanent solutions, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Further, the manager will be responsible for analyzing departmental procedures and processes to improve inefficiencies and streamline processes. Duties: · Obtain and maintain knowledge of ICON and Symphony’s operational processes, databases and product offerings and solutions · Liaise with the, Symphony IT & Operations and ICON IT, Governance & Privacy, Business Development, Analytics and Project Management Teams to analyze departmental procedures and processes to improve upon inefficiencies, streamline processes and maintain departmental documentation. · Provide operational support to the Symphony and ICON Governance & Privacy Compliance Team. · Support Operational Management to ensure operation data analysts are properly educated and aware of their obligations · Implement the direction of the Operations Management including process change, documentation change, education of the change, and implementation of processes and procedures. · Propose creative process improvements that both support process efficiencies. For example: o Incorporate practices and processes into all products and services to create a great trust-based experience with clients and internal users. o Lead cross functional efforts in business, analytics, technology, internal audit, quality assurance to develop effective and efficient polices, processes, roles & responsibilities, training, and communications to all teams. · Accurately update and maintain all documentation required of operational processes, client business requirements, and quality control processes and protocols. · Manage the Operation Data Analyst team by establishing clear goals, developing future state core competencies with our people, and by building upon a culture of open communication and collaboration. What do you have? · 5+ years of relevant experience including working closely with or leading healthcare data analytics · Previous experience with healthcare data · Previous experience with managing a team · Deep experience using SQL required, and additional experience with Python, R, and SAS preferred · Previous experience working in a data analytics environment · Technology security experience is a plus. · Experience working in a dynamic and fluid environment especially with management of large scale data protection compliance initiatives · Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to foster trust and collaboration in a team environment; effectively able build relationships with diverse groups of people. · Ability to work with minimal supervision, deliver to tight timelines, and create structure in complex and ambiguous situations. · Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. · Based in the US, able to work remotely from home. · To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status. #LI-REMOTEBenefits of Working in ICON:Our success depends on the quality of our people.
